Contact About Collaboration Writing Work

Collaboration and the building of community has been vital to my practice since graduating from The Glasgow School of Art in 2018.

MUCK - Must Use Critical Knowledge

India Boxall and I collaborate together as MUCK. MUCK is an archival project or fledgling online library that initially provided a container for Open Call submissions on the themes Terrestrial, Afloat-ness, Presence. It has since extended into the physical realm engaging with the public through online and in person workshops.

Past organisations we have provided workshops for organisations such as: 16 Nicholson Street Gallery, Embassy Gallery and In Session FKA GRADJOB. We are currently working with Fruitmarket Edinburgh on Giving Voice To a workshop for 16-25 yr olds as part of the programme for Pardes by Jyll Bradley.

Ecological themes of care and respite are key to MUCK workshops where we encourage attendees to navigate said themes and language in an embodied way using strategies such as deep listening, meditation and myofascial release. Workshop outcomes have included collectively written texts, explorations of language, drawings and zine making.

Outline Studios

I founded Outline Studios with a group of 6 other artists in early 2019 and was studio manager there until 2021. Outline is a collective affordable studio space for artists in Bridgeton Glasgow.

Some other things...

I continue to work with Tinja Ruusuovuori developing collaboratively written fiction and conversational non-fiction. These texts are created through the act of walking together (apart) in Glasgow and Tampere while speaking on the phone and over email.

I have worked with Lou Rowland on DATH a collaborative series of drawing workshops based around colour. I have also worked with Stephanie Black Daniels on a collaborative dialogue of drawing and performance.
